ZVC Volkel is a club in the southeast part of the Netherlands and has been located at Volkel Air Force Base since 1955. When the military base is closed, we can fly. These are all weekend days, weekdays after 5 p.m., and on public holidays.
Nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, we lease an elevated 2100′ landing strip known as Bergseth Field. From this unique site, ridge lift is very close by, and the Enumclaw Plateau offers thermals and unparalleled views of Mt Rainier, the surrounding farmland, as well as lakes, and the Puget Sound.
The Texas Soaring Association (TSA) is one of the oldest gliding clubs in the United States, having been founded in 1947 and today is certainly one of the largest.
TSA has approximately 180 flying members including many youth members who participate in the club’s youth soaring program.
Aero Club Salland is one of the largest clubs in The Netherlands with almost 200 members, our own field with campsite, hangar, and bar/restaurant/canteen.
We have a fleet of 10 gliders and one TMG that can also be used for aerotows.
Connecticut Soaring Association is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization dedicated to promoting the art of soaring and general aviation.
