Welcome to the New England Soaring Association. Founded in 1951, it is reported to be the oldest continuously operating soaring club in the United States.
NESA currently operates four gliders; two Schweizer 2-33’s, a 1-26, and a1-34. Many members also own their own. Most activity takes place on weekends; however, the club does occasionally operate during the week.
Piedmont Soaring Society is a small club near Winston-Salem North Carolina established in 1999.
We have several aspiring cross country pilots looking for a challenge and a reason to cut the apron strings of home. Hopefully, the Proving Grounds initiative will be put to good use by these pilots and more to come.keep reading
