Black Forest Soaring Society
Black Forest Soaring Society was founded in the spring of 1986. The original location was just northeast of Colorado Springs. This site was legendary for the number of high altitude flights achieved in the Pikes Peak wave. That airport was closed in 1986, and the club moved to Kelly Air Park.
The club has a healthy mix of early cross-country and world-class pilots, and conditions provide terrific soaring opportunities.
